How much does enterprise SEO cost?

Published prices where vendors publish them, named third-party contract data where they do not · last reviewed 20 September 2026

    The short answer

Enterprise SEO platforms typically land between $34,000 and $75,000 a year on reported contract data, with large site estates running well past $150,000. Almost none of these vendors publish rates. The price is driven by tracked keywords, domains, user seats and which modules you license — and the licence is rarely the whole cost.

Medians are aggregated buyer data published by Vendr, not vendor rate cards. Treat them as a benchmark for your own negotiation, not a quote.

    What the quote leaves out

    Implementation and onboarding

Enterprise platforms commonly charge a one-off implementation fee, and the internal time cost is larger than the invoice. Budget weeks, not days, before the tool produces a report anyone trusts.

    The person who owns it

A platform at this level assumes a dedicated owner. If nobody has the tool in their job description, the licence quietly becomes the most expensive dashboard in the business.

    Seats

Most vendors price users. Agencies, regional teams and stakeholders who only need to read a report are the usual reason a quote grows between the demo and the contract.

    Modules

The capability shown in the demo is frequently a separate line item. Ask which specific features are in the base licence and get the answer in the quote, not the slide deck.

    Renewal uplift

Annual contracts typically renew above the first-year rate. Compare a three-year total rather than year one, and negotiate the uplift cap at the start when you still have leverage.

    Over-provisioned keywords

Keyword volume is the main pricing dimension and the easiest to over-buy. Count the keywords that will actually change a decision, then size the contract to that.

    What you should actually budget

Single brand, one or two markets

A dedicated tracker plus your existing research suite covers this well. Committing a five-figure annual platform budget here is usually buying capability nobody will operate.

    Multi-brand or multi-market, in-house SEO team

This is where platform spend starts to earn out — if you have the headcount to run it. Reported contracts across the enterprise vendors sit in the $34,000 to $75,000 range.

Very large site estates, hundreds of thousands of URLs

Crawl and log analysis become the real cost driver, and Botify's reported median of $74,200 reflects that. Rank tracking at this scale is usually a separate, cheaper line.

    Where our own pricing sits

LemRank is free for 50 keywords and $59/mo on Pro for 5,000 keywords across unlimited projects, with every search engine and AI-answer tracking included. Above that we quote on keyword volume, domains and markets rather than seats. The honest boundary: we are a tracking, reporting and API product — we do not replace a content workflow platform, and our backlink index is smaller than the large suites’.
