Pricing explainer
BrightEdge vs Conductor: what each one costs
Neither vendor publishes a rate card. Contract figures are third-party data and keyword limits come from Conductor's own pricing page — both cited below. · last reviewed 20 September 2026
The short answer
On reported contract data the two are close: BrightEdge sits near a $50,000 annual median and Conductor near $49,500. Neither publishes rates. The real difference is who lives in the tool — BrightEdge is built around an SEO team and its data platform, Conductor around content teams and marketers working alongside them.

What the headline price doesn’t say
- Price is not the deciding factor here — the medians are within a few percent. Choose on who uses it daily and whether you need the content workflow.
- Conductor acquired Searchmetrics in 2022, so its roadmap absorbed a second product; ask directly which capability sits on which codebase.
- Both scale cost with keywords, domains and seats. Sizing the keyword universe honestly before the first call saves more than negotiation does.
- Neither is primarily a rank tracker. If daily positions across a large keyword set are the requirement, you are buying a lot of surrounding platform to get it.
Our read
Pick BrightEdge if the platform belongs to an SEO team that will operate it properly. Pick Conductor if content and marketing people need to work inside it too, and use the free trial to test that before signing. If neither answer feels worth $50,000 a year, the honest conclusion is that you need tracking and reporting, not a platform.
For comparison: what LemRank costs
We publish our numbers: free for 50 keywords, $59/mo on Pro for 5,000 keywords across unlimited projects, and a quoted rate above that for large keyword universes, multiple domains and multiple markets. Every engine and AI-answer tracking is included rather than billed per module. The honest trade-off against a platform like BrightEdge and Conductor: we are a tracking, reporting and API product, not a content workflow suite, and our backlink index is smaller than the big suites’.

Questions
Frequently asked
Is BrightEdge or Conductor cheaper?
On reported contract data they are effectively level: a median near $50,000 a year for BrightEdge and $49,500 for Conductor. Scope, not vendor, decides your number.
Which has better rank tracking?
Conductor publishes its allowances — 500 keywords on Essentials, 5,000 on Growth. BrightEdge publishes nothing, so you must get the allowance written into the quote. Both treat tracking as one component of a wider platform.
Can I try either before buying?
Conductor offers a three-week trial with no credit card. BrightEdge is demo-first with no public trial.
What if I only need rank tracking?
Then a dedicated tracker costs a fraction of either. LemRank quotes enterprise keyword volumes directly — see the enterprise evaluation.
